Ultrasonic shear wave testing (UTSW) uses angled sound beams to examine welds and components for internal discontinuities. MNT supports pipeline girth-weld inspection, fabrication quality control, and maintenance examinations using applicable project procedures.
Ultrasonic thickness testing (UTT) measures remaining wall thickness to support pipeline integrity inspections, corrosion monitoring, tank and vessel evaluations, and documented component assessments.
Magnetic particle testing (MT) examines ferromagnetic welds and components for surface and near-surface discontinuities, including indications encountered during pipeline integrity digs and weld repairs.
Liquid penetrant testing (PT) identifies surface-breaking discontinuities in suitable nonporous materials, including non-ferromagnetic components where magnetic particle testing is not applicable.
Visual testing (VT) supports welding inspection, fabrication QA/QC, repair verification, and construction oversight by documenting weld condition, workmanship, and conformance with applicable requirements.
When radiographic testing is required, MNT can coordinate RT services through qualified industry partners. This allows MNT customers to incorporate conventional and digital radiographic examination into a broader inspection scope while maintaining a single point of coordination for the project.
